During my recent transit travel to Chania, I stayed at Akrotiri Hotel and I must say it was an ideal choice. The convenience of its location, just 15 km away from Souda, made it extremely easy for me to catch my next flight. the hotel itself was delightful, with comfortable rooms and excellent amenities. The complimentary wine and raki provided in the room added a nice touch to my stay, ensuring a good night's sleep.
If I had to be picky, there was a slight disturbance at night due to a high-pitched squeak whenever it was windy. After some investigation, we discovered it was caused by a flag.

Lena and Ilias, the owners, were incredibly hospitable and made us feel right at home. They went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed during our stay. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the beds provided a restful night's sleep. The highlight for us was the stunning view of Chania Bay from the terrace where we enjoyed our breakfast each morning. We also appreciated the convenience of the hotel's location, with quick access to the airport bus and an easy bus ride into the town center. We are grateful for the warm welcome and kindness we received and look forward to visiting again!
For dads, it would be great to have a small playground for the children.

The staff was super helpful and made us feel right at home. The breakfast on the terrace had the most epic view of Chania and the bay. The rooms were cozy and had a small balcony where we could chill. Plus, the hotel was close to awesome water adventures like scuba diving and windsurfing. It was the perfect vacation spot for us teenagers!
If there was one thing we could've asked for, it would be a livelier atmosphere for young party-goers. While the hotel was great for relaxation and exploring, it would have been even more fun if there were some cool parties or events for us to get our groove on.

We had the best hotel experience at Akrotiri in Chania. Lena, the owner, was incredibly helpful, thoughtful, and friendly. The hotel was clean and well-maintained, and our room had everything we needed, including shower essentials, robes, and a spacious balcony with a breathtaking view. The breakfast was delicious, with fresh local produce. Lena went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, even arranging taxis for us. We felt truly welcomed and cared for during our entire stay.

The hotel is in a prime location for all us thrill-seeking teenagers. We got our adrenaline pumping with awesome water sports like scuba diving, water skiing, and windsurfing nearby. The rooms were stylish and cozy, and the view from the terrace was straight-up breathtaking. Plus, the Owners were like our personal tour guides, hooking us up with the best spots in town. We felt like VIPs the whole time!
If I had to nitpick, I’d say the only thing missing was a killer party scene. Don’t get me wrong, the hotel was perfect for relaxation and exploring, but us young party animals could have used a bit more excitement on-site.

Nestled in the historic district of Halepa, this charming, family-run hotel is a hidden gem in the lovely town of Chania, Crete. From the balcony of my air-conditioned room, I was treated to breathtaking views of the Cretan Sea, as if I had my own personal front-row seat to a mesmerizing show. Wandering through the maze-like alleys of the Old Town, with its Venetian mansions and elaborate churches, felt like stepping into a fairytale filled with wonders waiting to be discovered. The hotel's location allowed for easy access to restaurants, bars, and supermarkets, making it convenient to explore the vibrant local scene. With its sun terrace offering sweeping views of the sea, Akrotiri Hotel provided the perfect setting to relax and soak up the Mediterranean vibes.
